Welcome to Lyrania

Lyrania is a browser-based fantasy RPG that you play in your web browser, with no download needed. You fight monsters, level up, collect gear and gems, join a guild and take on bosses alongside a long-standing community. This page covers the basics; the full wiki goes much deeper.

Your first few minutes

• Register and log in. Pick a username (it is case-sensitive, so remember it exactly) and accept the Terms of Service. If a friend told you about the game, put their ID number in the Ref Code box. They get a bonus for it.
• Take the tour. New characters get a short click-through tour of the screen. You can replay it any time from the same menu as the FAQ.
• Start your first quest. Every character begins with a quest already assigned, such as killing a few Field Slimes. Fighting the right monster counts towards it automatically.
• Fight. Pick a monster from the dropdown, then press Attack! for a single fight or Auto! to work through several in a row.
• Get around. The dropdown near the top of the game is how you reach everything else: Market, Guild, Crafting, Travel, Settings and more.

What things are

• Money buys equipment upgrades and market goods.
• Jade is spent at the Jade Temple on permanent skills.
• Tokens and Credits come from drops, events or purchases and unlock permanent boosts and extras.
• Orbs raise the quality of your equipment. Upgrade all your gear with the orbs you find first, and sell the extras to the Dungeon Shop.

Getting stronger early on

• Upgrade your equipment. Click an equipped slot on the left of the screen to upgrade it. Better gear means more damage and better survival against monsters and bosses.
• Join a guild. Guilds are a big part of the game. Established players are usually happy to help newcomers with advice, jewellery and gear.
• Fight the area boss. Area bosses appear every two hours, on the odd server hours shown beside the chat. Open Battle, then Bosses, sign a contract, and carry on fighting. It is a steady source of money, jade, gems and dungeon points.
• Look in Purchase/Spend Tokens, then Miscellaneous, before buying tokens from other players. Tokens bought there are account-bound.
• Spend jade sensibly. Early on it is often better to sell jade on the market for tokens and put them into permanent boosts. Many players unlock all their jewellery slots first.

Things that can wait

• Crafting is expensive for a new character. Buying from the market or another player is almost always cheaper. The wedding ring is the usual exception.
• Tradeskill jobs are a low priority until you have some spare money. Leadership in the Jade Temple makes them cheaper.
• The casino is a quick way to lose money you could have spent on gear.

Market tips

A small listing deposit is taken when you list something. It is refunded when the listing sells, and kept if you cancel it or it expires. Check prices before you buy or sell, because players set their own.

Help and community

• Use the New Players chat channel. Asking there is usually the fastest way to get an answer.
• The in-game FAQ covers the basics, and Problem?! is for anything that looks broken.
• The Settings page (in the Battle menu) lets you change the theme, set your birthday and more.

Play safe and play fair

• Never share your password. Staff will never ask for it.
