[Gem Sink] Super Smoosh

Postby hctibavonos » Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:13 am

Hello! This suggestion is to add another gem sink into Lyrania while breathing some life into crafting, making it useful for even low-level crafters. Super Smooshing!

How does it work?

As it stands, you have a small chance to successfully smoosh together 2 pieces of jewelery, this chance is improved with increased JC.

The idea here is: add a gem payment to increase chances of successful smooshing.

Example:
merging 2 FCs together
First crowns have 300,300,300,50,50 stats for 1000 total points
When merged, you CAN generate a new crown for 322,322,322,53,53 but there is a high risk when doing so (35% success assuming no JC).

HOW DOES SUPER SMOOSH WORK HERE?
Well, the item gives 1000 stats, right? Pay 1000 each gem and you gain a +10% (45% success now) chance to succeed. Each super smoosh increases in cost by 10x, so it costs 1K->10K->100K->1m->10m->100m. (With a total investment of 111K, you have a 65% chance of success! YAY!)

The more powerful the item, the more expensive the super smoosh. Finally, players with a stupid abundance of gems now have something meaningful to spend 'em on, and without horribly breaking the game!

Another example before I go:
Shackles of dancing dead gives 150/250 acc/eva (400 total stats)
Merging it with another SODD (no JC) gives 161/268 acc/eva (429 total stats) but at a 35% chance.
The player can pay 400 DSREO, 4000 DSREO, and then 40 000 DSREO to get that 65% chance (still a gamble, but much more comfortable).
If the player wants to merge another SODD to it, it's now a new tier and he'd have to successfully merge another to get it to tier 400-599.
At that point: it would cost 429 DSREO, 4290 DSREO, then 42900 DSREO to do the double upgrade.

*EXAMPLES USE MAX POSSIBLE ROLL FOR SMOOSHING, REAL VALUES ARE 2.5% TO 7.5% (ON AVERAGE 5%), NOT 7.5%
